Job Summary: A Healthcare Administrator plays a critical role in managing the operations of a healthcare facility. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day administrative functions, ensuring efficient operation of the healthcare services, compliance with healthcare laws and regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the healthcare facility, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Staff Management: Supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage the budget, oversee billing processes, and ensure financial stability of the facility.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality improvement programs to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
- Policy Development: Develop and update policies and procedures in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Patient Services Coordination: Coordinate with medical staff to ensure patient needs are met with high-quality care.
- Data Management: Oversee the management of patient records and data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between medical staff, department heads, and external parties, such as insurance companies and regulatory bodies.
- Facility Management: Ensure that the physical infrastructure and equipment of the facility are maintained and updated as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in healthcare administration or management.
- Strong understanding of healthcare laws, regulations, and ethics.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
