Emergency Department Registered Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for emergency care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide emergency care to patients of all ages with varying acuities
2. Triage and assess patients upon arrival to determine the urgency of their condition
3. Administer medications, start intravenous lines, and perform various treatments and procedures
4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Monitor patient progress and make necessary interventions to ensure optimal outcomes
6. Educate patients and families about their conditions and provide discharge instructions
7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions
8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:
1. Valid RN license and BLS certification
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
3. ACLS and PALS certification preferred
4. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
