Summary: We are seeking an adaptable, conscientious, and enthusiastic Care Worker to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care services to children, the elderly, sick, and disabled patients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal care, client assessment, and home care, with a strong commitment to promoting privacy, dignity, and independence for all clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with transportation, house cleaning, personal hygiene, and meal preparation.
  • Provide individualized care to clients in their homes and communities.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, including District Nurses and GPs, to coordinate care plans.
  • Help clients with daily activities, such as getting dressed, exercising, and following physiotherapy or medical plans.
  • Monitor clients' health conditions, such as blood pressure, and report any changes or concerns.
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities to enhance clients' well-being.
  • Maintain confidential client files, prepare reports, and update care information as required.
  • Assist with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
  • Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to recognize signs of illness or health deterioration in clients.
  • Experience working various shifts, including days, nights, and sleep-ins.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources based on clients' needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and care practices.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and move clients safely.
  • Compassionate and culturally aware with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in diverse care settings, including homes, nursing homes, children’s facilities, hospices, and rehab centers.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Enhanced CRB Check.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:
